One of the main issues we had with the out of date software is that it made it harder for students who hadn't came to college with their our computers. The students couldnt just go to the computers in the dorms and work on a computer assignment, which in turn would cause them to have to walk to the library in order to do an assignment. Another problem stressed was the saftey of students walking through campus at night be it either because of the weather or another source.

After taking some surveys using the students currently living in the dorms we concluded that the out of date software was a big issue with them being either saftey issues or having to walk to the library late at night and spend hours there instead of close to their dorm. With these finding we offered the proposal of either updating just the software for each computer or upgrading the computer as a hole. This would seem more costly but in the long run would probably be the more suitabe decision.

After finishing this assignment it helped us all realize how much of a hassel it is to have to come to the library all the time to do work on the computer. All the members in my group no longer live in the dorms so we all were unaware of the issue at hand. Now that we found out more about it we are hoping our concerns with it will cause some kind of changes.
